Peggy Sue by Cotton Tale Designs

Peggy Sue by Cotton Tale Designs

I love it.  I think this new baby bedding set by Nina Selby Cotton Tale Designs is just adorable and fun at the same time.  This new collection is called Peggy Sue.  I can’t believe I am saying this because I remember wearing these colours as a little girl and hated them.  The bright flowers, wide collars and brown bell bottom pants, need I say more.  However, when these colours and patterns are turned into a baby bedding collection they are wonderful and unique.  Peggy Sue is a combination cottons, with accents in washed linens and bold floral prints. The 4 sectioned bumper is patched front and back in brown geometric linen and retro floral with tomato red cord and ties. The soft tone on tone cream floral sheet is 200 thread count cotton. The front pleat crib skirt is banded in matching red with a brown and cream vine floral design. A duvet style comforter is perfect for baby after the early months.  Matching accessories in various bold colours and similar prints compliment this bedding set.

Clarissa Bear Baby Bedding by BananaFish

Clarissa Bear Baby Bedding by BananaFish

When deciding on colours for your nursery decor what comes to mind?  I have two girls and if I were to do it all over again I would choose pink and brown colours.  I really like this combination.  If you are not a real girly girl and not into pink and white ruffles then these are the perfect combination of colours.

You can find pink and brown baby bedding in many styles and themes.  It comes in stripes, polka dots, checks, flowered etc.  All sorts of accessories are also available that match the crib sets.  You can purchase window valances, musical mobiles, diaper stackers, toy bags, hamper sets, frame sets and matching decorative pillows to go with your pink and brown bedding.   Decorating made easy.

Paige by Glenna JeanWhen it comes to girl baby bedding, one of my absolute favorites is the Paige collection by Glenna Jean.  When I enlarge the photo to the right and take a look at this set up close, two words come to mind….Stunningly Beautiful!.    I am left speechless.. this set is absolutely gorgeous.   I just love the combination of pink and white for a baby girl.   The double ruffles on the quilt and the pillows along with the pink plaid really do add to the feminine appeal of the Paige collection.  Take a look at the diaper stacker and the cute rug as well.  I know I sound like a broken record but every piece of this collection is just beautiful.

My little girl is 7 now and when she was born we decided to go with a neutral theme and decorated her nursery with a Noah’s Ark collection by Kids Line.  We were not in the baby bedding business at that time and we just were not aware of the beautiful products out there.    We are not planning on having anymore kids but if we had another baby girl, I think you know which set I would choose.

Bubblegum by Trend LabIn my last post, I introduced the Blueberry baby bedding set by Trend Lab and I mentioned how I believe that the blueberry is quite possibly the cutest fruit out there and that it is a great choice for a crib bedding theme.  The only problem with the blueberry as a baby bedding theme is that is blue and if you are a little lady, that might not be that great.

So, the obvious thing to do is to change the blue in the blueberry set to pink and voila, there you have the little girls version of this cute set.  Everything else stays the same as far as the patterns and the material.   Well, the very latest in baby girl crib bedding by Trend Lab is called Bubblegum.   Bubblegum qualifies as a cute candy because of the soft round bubbles that come to mind when I mention bubble gum.

You can find the Bubblegum set on the baby girl page at OurBabyBedding.com.  Now if you are having boy/girl twins, then this is an awesome choice for twins baby bedding.   The Max and Maya sets better watch out because Blueberry and Bubblegum are quickly gaining in popularity.

Blossoms Baby Bedding by Trend Lab BabyIn addition to adding some adorable and trendy new baby bedding sets to their lineup, Trend Lab Baby has created new nursery photos of their existing and most popular collections.    These new room shots show the baby bedding collections arranged in painted nurseries in more of a clean and crisp arrangement so that you can get a better view of the bedding sets and most of the available matching accessories.

For example, check out the popular Blossoms crib bedding set by Trend Lab Baby shown here.   One of the key differences between this photo and the previous room shot for this set is that comforter is folding neatly over the crib rail instead of being laid across the crib mattress.  Also, in the photo, you can get a good look at the many matching accessories such as the hamper, frame sets, diaper stacker, window valances, storage bins and the baby chair.

You can see all the new room shots on the Trend Lab Baby webpage at OurBabyBedding.com

LuLu by Sweet PotatoI like to refer to this baby girl bedding set as “vibrantly gorgeous” …yes I did make up that phrase:)   When I first saw this set, those are the exact two words that popped into my head.   What a wonderful combination of lavender, green and white!  This set is called LuLu and it is from the Sweet Potato division of Glenna Jean.   You just can’t help but smile when you walk into this nursery.

This set along with all the available accessories are finally avaible at OurBabyBedding.com for a quick delivery.   This collection has a wonderful assortment of matching pillows in addition to your standard accessories such as diaper stackers and valances.  Also available are a matching rug and lamp as well as unique designs elements such as sheer butterflies, an antique jack sculpture and an adorable big baby pin hanger.

You will also notice in the photo that the floor and walls have painted on floral patterns.  The stencils for these painted patterns can be found at arts and crafts stores such as Michaels.  If you bring a photo of the room shot to Michaels, the staff there can provide you with a stencil that you can use to re-create the look you see here.

Pink and Chocolate by Taylor JoelleWe are happy to be one of the first retail sites to carry the new baby bedding collections by Taylor Joelle Designs.   We first introduced the Mocha Dot collection by Taylor Joelle a couple of months ago and it quickly become very popular with its micro suede blue and brown design.

Taylor Joelle has just now completed the Pink and Chocolate 9 Piece baby girl bedding set and it is now available at OurBabyBedding.com.  This is a classic set that emphasizes classic design elements such as polka dots and stripes.   The 9 pieces included in this set are a bumper, fitted sheet, quilt, crib skirt, 2 window valances, diaper stacker, toy bag, a decorative pillow.  These 9 items will pretty much complete the nursery, however if you are looking for additional items that are not offered by Taylor Joelle but match the set pretty well, take a look at the Maya collection by Trend Lab.  In the Maya collection, you will be able to find additional accessories in pink and brown dot and stripes such as hampers, storage bins, and mobiles.
