I love it. I think this new baby bedding set by Nina Selby Cotton Tale Designs is just adorable and fun at the same time. This new collection is called Peggy Sue. I can’t believe I am saying this because I remember wearing these colours as a little girl and hated them. The bright flowers, wide collars and brown bell bottom pants, need I say more. However, when these colours and patterns are turned into a baby bedding collection they are wonderful and unique. Peggy Sue is a combination cottons, with accents in washed linens and bold floral prints. The 4 sectioned bumper is patched front and back in brown geometric linen and retro floral with tomato red cord and ties. The soft tone on tone cream floral sheet is 200 thread count cotton. The front pleat crib skirt is banded in matching red with a brown and cream vine floral design. A duvet style comforter is perfect for baby after the early months. Matching accessories in various bold colours and similar prints compliment this bedding set.
Well Nina Selby has done it again. Let me introduce you to Nina Selby’s Wild Elegance Collection by Cotton Tale Designs. For those of you who have never heard of Nina Selby she changed the industry with her flair for design and display. All Nina’s patterns are made using the finest quality materials and are uniquely designed to create an elegant and sophisticated nursery.
The Wild Elegance baby bedding collection is very exciting and different. It is a combination of luxurious fabrics from bold cotton wovens to animal chenille prints. The reversible patchwork bumper is trimmed in bronze, velvet ruffle and ties. The bed skirt is faux cheetah stretch woven. The light weight comforter is outlined quilted with 300 thread count cotton, trimmed in velvet ruffle. This is a nursery that will delight everyone with it’s style. Matching accessories include toy bag, valance, hamper, pillow pack, standard lamp and shade, crib blanket, and wall art.
I remember when my daughter was young she would chew on the drawers of her dresser leaving teeth marks behind. We still have the dresser to prove it. Face it, when kids are teething they would pretty much chew on anything they could get there hands on. In this case it was my daughter’s dresser. I am pretty sure that is why she was chewing on it or maybe she was just bored. My questions is how safe could this be? The drawer had a stain and gloss finish on it which was probably partially ingested when she was chewing on it.
Back when my kids were little and still in their crib I did not know about crib rail covers. Crib rail covers are a great way to protect your baby, and to protect your investment from teeth marks. They are very simple to put on. You just simply wrap them around the rail and tie them securely in place. They are made of fleece and therefore machine washable. Easy to take care of. They come in both small and large sizes to protect both ends and sides of the crib. There is a great selection of crib rail covers in various colours and patterns made by Trend Lab.

When deciding on colours for your nursery decor what comes to mind? I have two girls and if I were to do it all over again I would choose pink and brown colours. I really like this combination. If you are not a real girly girl and not into pink and white ruffles then these are the perfect combination of colours.
You can find pink and brown baby bedding in many styles and themes. It comes in stripes, polka dots, checks, flowered etc. All sorts of accessories are also available that match the crib sets. You can purchase window valances, musical mobiles, diaper stackers, toy bags, hamper sets, frame sets and matching decorative pillows to go with your pink and brown bedding. Decorating made easy.
There are few things we need to know about baby room colours. The colour or colors you choose define the mood and are therefore important to setting the overall ambiance of the nursery room for the baby. The baby room colours you choose can stimulate or soothe your senses and make for a more enjoyable baby room.
A few things to note is that when a baby is born he/she has limited color perception. They can only see colors that are in high contrast to each other, for example black and white. Hence many newborns and young infant toys contain this color contrast. If you want to follow this colour scheme a good choice in baby bedding would be the Versaille Black and White Crib Set by Trend Lab. It is an adorable neutral baby bedding set and a great choice for anyone looking for black and white baby bedding.
I just found out a great way to change an old dresser into a new change table for your nursery. It’s easy and affordable. Take an old dresser you have or try to find an old dresser for sale in your area. Paint the dresser completely white and then add any accent colours you want that complement your baby bedding decor. If you are using sage green in the baby’s room then paint the drawers sage green. Next purchase new hardware and replace the old existing hardware on the dresser. Now you can take the dresser and turn it into a baby change table by simply placing a change pad on top and placing a basket full of baby toiletries next to the change pad. After the baby outgrows the change table or you no longer need the change table you can use it as a dresser in the room. You accent your new dresser/change table with nursery accessories that match your bedding decor.

Dr. Seuss ABC crib bedding by Trend Lab Baby is now in stock and available for immediate delivery at OurBabyBedding.com. I think that when you look up the word whimsical, you will find that it is synonymous with Dr. Seuss. Anyone looking for a fun and whimsical nursery for either a boy or a girl will just love this set.
Currently available accessories for this set include a window valance, hamper, 3 piece storage bin set, diaper stacker, hooded towel, bottle bag and a variety of bib, wash cloth, and burp cloth sets. In the near future, look for other accessories such as frames, chairs, and mobiles.
When it comes to nursery accessories, most of what new moms buy are related to decorating the nursery or helping to organize it better. I am talking about things like diaper stackers, hampers, and window valances. There is one accessory that is strickly for your new baby and that is the musical mobile.
The main reason for a musical mobile is to visually stimulate your newborn. Recent research suggests that babies with many things to look at develop many neural connections in the brain and at a much higher rate. This type of activity is critical for proper brain development in newborns. Also, keep in mind that newborn babies focus best at a distance of about 12 inches or so. Hanging the mobile at this distance will give the baby maximum visual stimulation.
The thing about musical mobiles is that they usually have the cutest things hanging from then. The baby doesn’t really care what is hanging from them as long as they see the vivid colors in motion. Usually, most new moms will simply pick the mobile that matches the baby bedding set that they have chosen. Examples of some items that you will find hanging from mobiles include, teddy bears, sailboats, birds, flowers, sheep, hearts, etc…
So remember….don’t forget the mobile!
